El: Ο Δημήτρης στεκόταν στο κατάστρωμα του πλοίου, βλέποντας την απότομη χειμωνιάτικη θάλασσα.
En: O Dimitris stood on the deck of the ship, watching the rough winter sea.

El: Ο αέρας ήταν παγωμένος και ο ουρανός μουντός.
En: The air was freezing, and the sky was dreary.

El: Χιόνι έπεφτε απαλά πάνω στο λιμάνι του Πειραιά.
En: Snow was gently falling on to limani tou Peiraia.

El: Ήταν η παραμονή Πρωτοχρονιάς και η βάση ήταν γεμάτη κίνηση.
En: It was New Year's Eve, and the base was bustling with activity.

El: Ναύτες και αξιωματικοί μετακινούνταν βιαστικά, προετοιμάζοντας τα πλοία για τις επόμενες αποστολές.
En: Sailors and officers were moving hastily, preparing the ships for the upcoming missions.

El: «Δημήτρη, καλώς ήρθες!
En: "Dimitri, welcome!"

El: » φώναξε ο Κώστας καθώς μπήκε ο Δημήτρης.

El: «Τι μπορώ να κάνω για σένα;
En: "What can I do for you?"

El: »«Χρειάζομαι τη βοήθειά σου, Κώστα,» είπε ο Δημήτρης χαμογελώντας.
En: "I need your help, Kosta," said o Dimitris with a smile.

El: «Πρέπει να βρω κάτι ξεχωριστό για την οικογένειά μου, πριν είναι πολύ αργά.
En: "I need to find something special for my family, before it's too late."

El: »Ο Κώστας τον οδήγησε ανάμεσα στα ράφια.
En: O Kostas led him through the shelves.

El: Υπήρχαν χειροποίητα στολίδια, γλυκά και παραδοσιακά σκεύη.
En: There were handmade ornaments, sweets, and traditional utensils.

El: Ο Δημήτρης σκεφτόταν τη στιγμή που η Έλενα θα άνοιγε το δώρο του και οι γιορτές σε οικογενειακή ατμόσφαιρα.
En: O Dimitris was thinking about the moment when i Elena would open his gift and the holidays spent in a familial atmosphere.

El: «Ορίστε,» είπε ο Κώστας, κρατώντας ένα όμορφα στολισμένο κουτί.
En: "Here," said o Kostas, holding a beautifully decorated box.

El: «Σκέφτηκα τα γλυκά της γιαγιάς.
En: "I thought of grandma's sweets.

En: He was ready to buy it when suddenly his phone rang.

El: Έπρεπε να γυρίσει αμέσως.
En: He needed to return immediately.

El: Η καρδιά του βάραινε από την αγωνία.

En: That night, when o Dimitris arrived at to spiti tis Elenas, the joy was indescribable.

El: Η Έλενα τον υποδέχτηκε με μια αγκαλιά και η οικογένεια τον περιτριγυρίστηκε με χαμόγελα.
En: i Elena greeted him with a hug, and the family surrounded him with smiles.

El: Ο Δημήτρης αισθάνθηκε ένα αίσθημα πληρότητας και κατάλαβε πως οι χαμένες στιγμές ζεστασιάς μπορούν να αναπληρωθούν.
