He: קולות הסוחרים והמוזיקה מהדהדים באוויר.
En: The voices of the merchants and music echoed in the air.
He: זה היה חג החנוכה.
En: It was the holiday of Chanukah.
He: אנשים רבים הגיעו להדלקת המנורה הגדולה בבית המקדש.
En: Many people came for the lighting of the great menorah at the Temple.
He: אליאור, צעיר מכפר קטן, היה ביניהם.
En: Elior, a young man from a small village, was among them.
He: אליאור היה סוחר צעיר.
En: Elior was a young merchant.
He: הוא יצא למסע לירושלים כדי לראות את הנרות של המנורה.
En: He set out on a journey to Yerushalayim to see the candles of the menorah.
