He: בערב חורפי אחד, בשכונה סגורה מתחת לשלג עדין, משפחה אחת התקבצה לחגוג חנוכה.
En: On one wintry evening, in a neighborhood covered under gentle snow, one family gathered to celebrate Hanukkah.
He: האורות הנצנצים קישטו את הבתים והשמחה הייתה באוויר.
En: The twinkling lights decorated the houses, and joy was in the air.
He: שירה עמדה ליד החלון של ביתה והביטה בילדים משחקים בחוץ.
En: Shira stood by the window of her house, watching the children playing outside.
He: היא הרגישה קצת מנותקת מהמשפחה.
En: She felt somewhat disconnected from the family.
He: החגיגות תמיד היו מלאות באור וחום, אך משהו בתוכה הרגיש חסר.
En: The celebrations were always full of light and warmth, but something inside her felt missing.

En: Shira was an excited teenager, afraid she didn't understand her family's tradition.

En: He was always the storyteller in the family, and this evening was one of his favorite times.

En: As the whole family sat around the table, Shira decided it was her time to try to understand more.
He: "האם אכין איתך את ארוחת הערב?
En: "Can I prepare dinner with you?"
He: " שאלה שירה את נעם בתקווה.
En: Shira asked Noam hopefully.
He: הוא חייך בחום והניד בראשו בחיוב.
En: He smiled warmly and nodded in agreement.
He: בזמן שבישלו יחד, שביקרו את הבצק, הכין נעם סיפורים על מאבקי העבר.
En: While they cooked together, kneading the dough, Noam shared stories about past struggles.
He: סיפורים על אשרות ואומץ, על אנשים שעמדו בפני קשיים גדולים וניצחו.
En: Stories of courage and bravery, of people who faced great difficulties and won.
He: כשנר החנוכייה האחרון הודלק, נעם התחיל לספר סיפור חדש.
En: When the last candle of the Hanukkiah was lit, Noam began a new story.
He: "בתקופת החשמונאים," הוא החל, "היו הרבה אתגרים.
En: "During the time of the Hasmoneans," he began, "there were many challenges.
He: אבל הם התגברו דרך תבונה ואמונה.
En: But they overcame them through wisdom and faith."
He: " שירה הקשיבה בשקט, ובכל משפט הרגישה יותר קרובה אל עצמה ואל משפחתה.
En: Shira listened quietly, and with each sentence, she felt closer to herself and her family.
