El: Ήταν άνοιξη στη Νέα Υόρκη.
En: It was spring in Nea Yorki.
El: Ο ήλιος έλαμπε μέσα από τα μεγάλα παράθυρα ενός πολυτελούς ουρανοξύστη.
En: The sun was shining through the large windows of a luxurious skyscraper.
El: Η πόλη απλωνόταν κάτω από εμάς, με τους δρόμους γεμάτους κίνηση και ζωή.
En: The city sprawled beneath us, with streets full of movement and life.
El: Ήμασταν στην κορυφή, στον τελευταίο όροφο, σε ένα αίθριο απ' όπου όλα φαίνονταν τόσο μικρά, και ένιωθα το βάρος της στιγμής.
En: We were at the top, on the last floor, in an atrium from where everything seemed so small, and I felt the weight of the moment.
El: Εγώ είμαι ο Δημήτρης, ο καλύτερος φοιτητής της τάξης μου.
En: I am Dimitris, the best student in my class.
El: Είμαι πολύ περήφανος αλλά και αγχωμένος.
En: I am very proud but also anxious.
El: Ξέρω ότι πρέπει να δώσω μια ομιλία που να εμπνεύσει τους συμμαθητές μου.
En: I know I have to give a speech that will inspire my classmates.
El: Θέλω οι λέξεις μου να μείνουν χαραγμένες στη μνήμη τους.
En: I want my words to be etched in their memory.
El: Είναι η ημέρα της αποφοίτησής μας και έχει σημασία.
En: It is our graduation day, and it matters.
El: Δίπλα μου κάθεται η Σοφία, η κολλητή μου.
En: Next to me sits Sofia, my best friend.
El: Είναι πάντα εκεί όταν χρειάζομαι έναν φίλο.

El: Γελάει και προσπαθεί να δείξει σιγουριά, αλλά ξέρω πως και εκείνη ανησυχεί για το αύριο.
En: She laughs and tries to show confidence, but I know she is also worried about tomorrow.
El: Το βλέμμα της για λίγο στρέφεται προς τον καθηγητή μας, τον Νίκο.
En: Her gaze briefly turns to our teacher, Nikos.
El: Είναι ο μέντοράς μου από την πρώτη μέρα στο σχολείο.
En: He has been my mentor from the first day at school.
El: Ο Νίκος είναι σοφός και καταλαβαίνει τα πάντα δίχως να μιλάει πολύ.
En: Nikos is wise and understands everything without speaking much.
El: Ξέρει ότι παλεύω με τις λέξεις και ταυτόχρονα με τις προσδοκίες.
En: He knows I'm struggling with words and at the same time with expectations.
El: Αποφασίζει να αποσυρθεί μετά την αποφοίτηση, κι αυτή του ησυχία με γεμίζει θλίψη αλλά και σεβασμό.
En: He has decided to retire after graduation, and this quietness of his fills me with sadness but also respect.
El: Τη νύχτα πριν από την αποφοίτηση, κάθομαι μόνος.
En: The night before graduation, I sit alone.
El: Προσπαθώ να γράψω, αλλά τίποτα δεν μου φαίνεται σωστό.
En: I try to write, but nothing feels right.
El: Τα πετάω όλα και αποφασίζω να μιλήσω από την καρδιά μου.
En: I toss everything and decide to speak from my heart.
El: Κλείνω τα μάτια και προσπαθώ να ακούσω την εσωτερική μου φωνή.
En: I close my eyes and try to listen to my inner voice.
El: Θέλω να τιμήσω τις στιγμές μας στο σχολείο.
En: I want to honor our moments at school.
El: Η ώρα έφτασε.
En: The time has come.
El: Βρίσκομαι στο βήμα, κρατώντας τις σημειώσεις μου, αλλά μέσα μου έχω αποφασίσει.
En: I am at the podium, holding my notes, but inside I have made my decision.
El: Κοιτάζω το κοινό, τους φίλους, τους αγαπημένους μου δασκάλους.
En: I look at the audience, my friends, my beloved teachers.
El: Δεν χρειάζομαι πια τις σημειώσεις.
En: I no longer need the notes.
El: Αρχίζω να μιλώ και οι λέξεις βγαίνουν φυσικά, απρόσμενα σωστές.
En: I begin to speak, and the words come naturally, unexpectedly right.
El: "Θέλω να σας ευχαριστήσω όλους.
En: "I want to thank all of you.
El: Μαζί μεγαλώσαμε, μαζί μάθαμε.
En: Together we grew, together we learned.
El: Κάθε μέρα εδώ ήταν ένα δώρο που θα το θυμόμαστε πάντα."

El: Τα λόγια ρέουν και με αγγίζουν τόσο εγώ όσο και όλοι οι υπόλοιποι.
En: The words flow and touch both me and everyone else.
El: Η ομιλία μου τελειώνει και ο χώρος γεμίζει με χειροκροτήματα.
En: My speech ends, and the room fills with applause.
El: Οι συμμαθητές μου με αγκαλιάζουν και νιώθω πως επιτέλους έχω γίνει πραγματικά ειλικρινής.
En: My classmates hug me, and I feel that I have finally become truly sincere.
El: Ο Νίκος με κοιτάει με υπερηφάνεια και η Σοφία γελά, ανακουφισμένη.
En: Nikos looks at me with pride, and Sofia laughs, relieved.
