Story Transcript:

He: יום אחד, ירד גשם קל בירושלים.
En: One day, a light rain fell in Jerusalem.

He: יעל הלכה לשוק מחנה יהודה לקנות ירקות.
En: Yael went to the Mahane Yehuda Market to buy vegetables.

He: היא אהבה את הריחות והצבעים בשוק.
En: She loved the smells and colors of the market.

He: כשיעל הגיעה לדוכן הירקות, היא שמעה קריאה.
En: When Yael arrived at the vegetable stand, she heard an announcement.

He: "תחרות בישול מתחילה! בואו להשתתף!" יעל הייתה סקרנית.
En: "Cooking competition is starting! Come and participate!" Yael was curious.

He: היא רצתה לבדוק מה קורה.
En: She wanted to see what was happening.

He: יעל התקרבה לבמה.
En: Yael approached the stage.

He: פתאום, מישהו אמר לה, "בואי, את משתתפת!"
En: Suddenly, someone said to her, "Come, you're participating!"

He: יעל ניסתה להסביר שהיא לא יודעת לבשל, אבל הוא לא הקשיב.

He: השופטים הגיעו.

He: כל אחד מהם טעם את המנות.

He: יעל הייתה קצת לחוצה, אבל נשארה רגועה.
En: Yael was a bit nervous, but remained calm.

He: כשהם הגיעו לסלט שלה, היא ראתה אותם מחייכים.
En: When they got to her salad, she saw them smiling.

He: ואז הגיע זמן ההכרזה.
En: Then the moment of the announcement came.

He: "המנה הטובה ביותר היא... הסלט של יעל!"
En: "The best dish is... Yael's salad!"

He: יעל לא האמינה.
En: Yael couldn't believe it.

He: היא זכתה בפרס ראשון.
En: She won first prize.

He: כולם מחאו כפיים.
En: Everyone applauded.

He: יעל חייכה ואמרה, "פשוט זה הכי טוב!"
