He: ברחובות הגושגשים של תל אביב, על רצפה משוננת ובניינים צבעוניים, מסתתרת דירה קטנה ומתוקה.
En: In the narrow streets of Tel Aviv, with its varied pavements and colorful buildings, hides a small and sweet apartment.

He: זו ביתה של סבתא שרה.
En: This is the home of Grandma Sarah.

He: למרות העייפות המצטברת בגילה, תמיד היה לה מקום בלב לעוד אדם.
En: Despite the accumulated tiredness in her old age, she always had room in her heart for another person.

He: דוד, הנכד האהוב, התארח שם בבית כל ערב שישי.
En: David, the beloved grandson, would stay there every Friday evening.

He: בחדר האוכל של סבתא שרה, מראה דינר של ערב שישי הוא תמיד מופת.
En: In Grandma Sarah's dining room, the Friday night dinner was always a marvel.

He: שולחן מאותגר באוכלים טעימים ומזרחיים.
En: A table laden with tasty and oriental dishes.

He: אך דוד, שהגיע לאחר ארוחת צהריים מוקדמת עם חברים, בטן כבר הייתה מתפצלת.
En: But David, who had already eaten an early lunch with friends, his stomach was already full.

He: סבתא שרה, מנגישה את המקל, החלה לשרת את דוד בקערה מלאה עד אפיק המרק החם.
En: Grandma Sarah, handing him the ladle, began serving David a bowl full to the brim with hot soup.

He: "דוד, אתה נראה דליל מדי.
En: "David, you look too thin.

He: אכול עבור סבתא," אמרה הסבתא במבט חם.
En: Eat for Grandma," said Grandma in a warm gaze.

En: David, trying to stuff himself full, found himself in conflict.

En: Despite a few days of recovery, he is aware that Grandma Sarah will not say a word about the new dish on the menu or the popular restaurant that opened two weeks ago half a block away from his place.
