Story Transcript:

El: Καθώς ο ήλιος ανέτειλε πάνω από το μικρό χωριό και η θάλασσα από ελιές έλαμπε, ο Νίκος σκούπισε τον ιδρώτα από το μέτωπό του.
En: As the sun rose over the small village and the sea of olive trees gleamed, Nikos wiped the sweat from his forehead.

El: Το πρόχειρο νοσοκομείο στο οποίο βρισκόταν χρειαζόταν βοήθεια.
En: The makeshift hospital where he was working needed help.

El: Μια μυστηριώδης ασθένεια είχε εμφανιστεί και λίγοι ήξεραν τι προκαλούσε αυτό το κακό.
En: A mysterious illness had appeared, and few knew what was causing this misfortune.

El: Η Ελένη, κόρη ενός τοπικού αγρότη, μπήκε στο νοσοκομείο με ένα καλάθι γεμάτο φρέσκα βότανα.
En: Eleni, the daughter of a local farmer, entered the hospital with a basket full of fresh herbs.

En: The villagers were anxious and showed reluctance toward his new methods.

El: "Ξέρω, Νίκο.
En: "I know, Nikos.

El: Αλλά οι παραδόσεις μας έχουν αξία.
En: But our traditions have value.

El: Ας προσπαθήσουμε μαζί," πρότεινε.
En: Let's try together," she suggested.

El: Εκείνος χαμογέλασε, αναγνωρίζοντας τη σοφία της.
En: He smiled, acknowledging her wisdom.

El: Με την Ελένη στο πλευρό του, ο Νίκος αναζήτησε λύσεις.
En: With Eleni by his side, Nikos searched for solutions.

El: Διάβασε, μελέτησε, παρακολούθησε προσεκτικά τα συμπτώματα.
En: He read, studied, and carefully observed the symptoms.

El: Με τον ήχο των καμπανών να γεμίζει τον αέρα, ο Νίκος δεν ένιωθε πλέον ξένος.
En: With the sound of bells filling the air, Nikos no longer felt like a stranger.

El: Αντίθετα, κάθε σπιθαμή του χωριού τον καλούσε και η αντανάκλαση της ελιάς στη ματιά του έμοιαζε πια σωστά στη θέση της.
En: Instead, every inch of the village called out to him, and the reflection of the olives in his gaze seemed perfectly in place.
