Story Transcript:

He: כשירד מהאוטובוס בתחנת המרכזית של תל אביב, אברהם חש מבולבל.
En: When Abraham got off the bus at Tel Aviv's central station, he felt confused.

He: העיר הזרישובי הים הכחול הויתה גדולה ומרשימה ממה שהוא התקיים לראות, ובצעדו הראשון על מדרכותיה, הרגיש שאינו מכיר דרך ולא משעולת.
En: The bustling, impressive city by the blue sea was much bigger than he had imagined, and on his first step on its sidewalks, he felt like he didn't know the way or the path.

He: המשימה שלו, גם אם פשוטה מאוד - למצוא חנות פלאפל - הופכת למשימה מאתגרת.
En: His task, even though very simple - to find a falafel shop - became a challenging mission.

He: תל אביב עם אורחות החיים שלה המהיר, הבניינים הגבוהים, האנשים הרבים העוברים ושובים - הכל היה מעיד על היכולת שלה להשתלט על הנודע ולהביא ללא ודאות.
En: Tel Aviv, with its fast pace of life, tall buildings, and the many people coming and going - everything seemed to indicate its ability to take control of the unfamiliar and bring it about without a doubt.

He: אברהם, מבלבל ברחובות, מסתכל על המרכזים הבלתי מוכרים ומתחיל להיאבד.
En: Abraham, lost in the streets, looked at the unfamiliar intersections and started to get lost.

He: מדי פעם הוא מעניק הסתכלות להולכי הרגל, מקווה למצוא משהו מכונן, אך לא מצליח.
En: Every now and then, he glanced at the pedestrians, hoping to find someone familiar, but he couldn't.

He: שוב ושוב הוא מתעלם ממול ירוק, אלא מבצע הלכה מהירה, אינו מחכה לירוק.
En: Again and again, he ignored the green light, instead following the quick flow, not waiting for green.

En: Suddenly, he smelled the familiar smell of falafel - the toppings, the salads, the hot sauce.

En: This smell guided him to the small restaurant in front of him - "The Falafel Shop".

He: הוא נכנס אל החנות ומזמין פיתה מלאה עם פלאפל.
En: He entered the shop and ordered a pita full of falafel.

He: הטעמים מיד מזכירים לו את הבית שלו.
En: The flavors immediately reminded him of his home.

He: תחושת הלחשקה מתמחה, והוא מרגיש מרוחה.
En: The feeling of longing intensified, and he felt at ease.

He: יהוה איבד אותו לרגע, אך הוא מצא את דרכו והרגש שגם העיר הגדולה הזו יכולה להיות בית.
En: For a moment, he thought he had lost himself, but he found his way and felt that even this big city could become his home.

He: זו הפעם הראשונה שאברהם מרגיש כמו בית בתל אביב, והוא יודע שלא יהיה האחרון.
En: This was the first time Abraham felt at home in Tel Aviv, and he knew it wouldn't be the last.
