Story Transcript:

He: באוירה החמימה של תל אביב, בלב השוק המקומי, קיימת חנות קטנה שלם.
En: In the warm atmosphere of Tel Aviv, in the heart of the local market, there is a small shop called Shalem.

He: באותו יום חסון, פוקדה יעל את החנות.
En: On that particular day, Ya'el visited the shop.

He: יעל הייתה תושבת תל אביב מזו זמנים, אך מעולם לא היה לה תחושת טבע כאשר היא מדברת בעברית.
En: Ya'el had been a resident of Tel Aviv for quite some time, but had never quite felt natural when speaking Hebrew.

He: לעיתים, המילים המתוך לשונה היו מסתבכות.
En: Sometimes, words from her tongue would get tangled up.

He: "נותן לך לחצוץ של יין?
En: "Could I have a bottle of wine?"

He: ", היא שאלה את בעל החנות, אך במקום "חציץ" יצא "חצוץ".
En: she asked the shop owner, but instead of "bottle" she said "buttock".

He: בעל החנות דילג מהצחק.
En: The shop owner skipped over the mistake.

He: מבלבל את המילים לרוב מסתיים בחוויות מוזרות עבור יעל, והמקרה הנוכחי הוא דוגמה לכך.
En: Mixing up words usually led to strange experiences for Ya'el, and the current incident was an example of that.

En: The shop owner, notable for his kindness, refused to praise her mistake.

He: היא גם הרגישה הכרח בלתת הסבר: "אני מסתבכת קצת עם המילים.
En: She also felt compelled to explain, "I struggle a bit with words.

He: פשוט לא יכולה להפסיק.
En: I just can't seem to stop."

He: "בלי לאבד את חיוךו, בעל החנות ביקש שלא תדאג.
En: Without losing his smile, the shop owner asked her not to worry.

He: "את מחמיאה ליין שלי," הוא אמר, "ויש בזה משהו מאוד מחמיא.
En: "You flatter my wine," he said, "and there's something very flattering about that."

He: ""תודה," ענתה יעל, "אני אפשר לשאול אתך משהו, אם אתה לא מתנגד?
En: "Thank you," replied Ya'el, "Can I ask you something, if you don't mind?

He: אתה לא מחשיב את השגיאה שלי כמשהו מביך?
En: Do you not consider my mistake embarrassing?"

He: ""כמובן שלא," ענה בעל החנות תוך שהוא מחייך, "זה מה שהופך אותך למייחדת.
En: "Of course not," replied the shop owner with a smile, "that's what makes you unique."

He: "כEach מסתיים הסיפור עם יעל.
En: And so, the story comes to an end with Ya'el.

He: למרות שהיא משחקת עם המילים, היא מתמודדת עם זאת בביטחון.
En: Even though she plays with words, she deals with it confidently.

He: יש לה את היכולת להצחיק אנשים, והיא מצליחה לגעת בלוב העומק של המילים, גם כאשר היא מבלבלת אותן.
En: She has the ability to amuse people, and she manages to touch the deep heart of words, even when she mixes them up.
