Story Transcript:

He: כשהעלים התחילו ליפול, הבית הגדול היה מלא באורחים.
En: When the leaves started to fall, the large house was full of guests.

He: כולם התאספו לחגוג את סוכות, ובחצר עמדו סוכה מקושטת בשרשרות נייר וצמד דלעות תלויים מעל לראש.
En: Everyone gathered to celebrate Sukkot, and in the yard stood a sukkah decorated with paper chains and a pair of gourds hanging above.

He: אווירה של חום ושמחה שררה בכל פינה, וצלילי שיחה וצחוק התפזרו באוויר.
En: An atmosphere of warmth and joy filled every corner, and the sounds of conversation and laughter floated in the air.

He: אליאב עמד בצד, מסתכל איך בני משפחתו נהנים.
En: Eliyav stood to the side, watching how his family members enjoyed themselves.

He: כולם ניגשו אליו, מחליפים סיפורי הצלחה ושבחים.
En: Everyone approached him, exchanging stories of success and praises.

He: הייתה לו משרה טובה ומעמד מכובד בעבודה, וכולם ראו בו את "המצליח".
En: He had a good job and a respectable position at work, and everyone saw him as the "successful one."

He: אבל אליאב הרגיש לחץ.
En: But Eliyav felt pressure.

En: His work wasn’t going as expected, and he didn't want to talk about it.

En: Tamar decided it was her moment.

He: היא הוציאה את ציורה והציגה אותו בפני כל המשפחה.
En: She brought out her painting and presented it to the whole family.

He: היא ציפתה למחמאות, אך מבטי הסקרנות במהרה הופנו חזרה אל אליאב.
En: She expected compliments, but curious glances quickly turned back to Eliyav.

He: לפתע, הפכה הסוכה לזירת ויכוח.
En: Suddenly, the sukkah turned into a scene of argument.

He: תמר פנתה לאליאב בזעם, "למה אתה תמיד מרכז תשומת הלב?
En: Tamar turned to Eliyav angrily, "Why do you always get all the attention?

He: מתי יראו גם אותי?
En: When will they see me too?"

He: " אליאב הופתע, אבל במהרה ענה לה בכנות, "גם אני לא תמיד מושלם.
En: Eliyav was surprised, but quickly replied honestly, "I'm not always perfect either.

He: אני נאבק בעבודה ואני מפחד לאכזב את כולם.
En: I'm struggling at work, and I'm afraid of disappointing everyone."

He: "כשהוויכוח נרגע, השתלטה שתיקה.
En: When the argument calmed down, silence took over.

He: תמר ואליאב הסתכלו זה בזו, מבינים זה את תחושותיו של זה.
En: Tamar and Eliyav looked at each other, understanding each other's feelings.

He: תמר חשה שמישהו באמת שמע אותה לראשונה, ואליאב הבין שמותר לו להרגיש פגיע.
En: Tamar felt that someone really heard her for the first time, and Eliyav realized that he was allowed to feel vulnerable.
