De: Hans und Greta arbeiteten auf einem Sonnenblumenhof.
En: Hans and Greta worked on a sunflower farm.
De: Es war Sommer, und der Himmel war klar und blau.
En: It was summer, and the sky was clear and blue.
De: Überall wuchsen riesige, goldene Sonnenblumen.
En: Everywhere, huge golden sunflowers were growing.
De: Hans liebte diesen Hof, aber er liebte Greta noch mehr.
En: Hans loved this farm, but he loved Greta even more.
De: Er war schüchtern und ein bisschen tollpatschig.
En: He was shy and a bit clumsy.
De: Er traute sich nicht, Greta seine Gefühle zu gestehen.
En: He didn't dare to confess his feelings to Greta.
De: Eines Tages hatte Hans eine Idee.
En: One day, Hans had an idea.
De: Er dachte: „Ich werde Greta überraschen! Ich ziehe das Vogelscheuchen-Kostüm an und mache einen Spaß.“
En: He thought, "I will surprise Greta! I'll put on the scarecrow costume and play a joke."
De: Hans fand das Kostüm in der Scheune.
En: Hans found the costume in the barn.
De: Es war alt und ein wenig zerschlissen.
En: It was old and a bit tattered.
De: Er zog es an und ging in das Feld, um sich zu verstecken.
En: He put it on and went into the field to hide.
De: Doch das Kostüm war schwerer als gedacht.
En: But the costume was heavier than he thought.
De: Hans stolperte und fiel hin.
En: Hans stumbled and fell.
De: Er versuchte aufzustehen, aber das Kostüm verfing sich in den Sonnenblumen.
En: He tried to get up, but the costume got tangled in the sunflowers.
De: „Oh nein!“, rief Hans.
En: "Oh no!" Hans exclaimed.
De: Er war wirklich festgekehrt.
En: He was really stuck.
De: Er versuchte, sich aus dem Kostüm zu befreien, aber es ging nicht.
En: He tried to free himself from the costume, but it didn't work.
De: Er war verzweifelt und wusste nicht, was er tun sollte.
En: He was desperate and didn't know what to do.
De: In diesem Moment kam Greta.
En: At that moment, Greta came along.
De: Sie sah Hans im Kostüm und begann zu lachen.
En: She saw Hans in the costume and began to laugh.
De: „Hans! Was machst du da?“, rief sie mit einem breiten Grinsen.
En: "Hans! What are you doing there?" she called out with a broad grin.
De: Hans wurde rot.
En: Hans blushed.
De: „Ich... äh... wollte dich überraschen“, stammelte er.
En: "I... uh... wanted to surprise you," he stammered.
De: Greta half ihm, sich aus dem Kostüm zu befreien.
En: Greta helped him free himself from the costume.
De: Sie zog und zerrte, bis Hans endlich frei war.
En: She pulled and tugged until Hans was finally free.
De: „Danke, Greta“, sagte Hans, als er sich den Staub abklopfte.
En: "Thank you, Greta," Hans said as he dusted himself off.
De: „Ich wollte dir eigentlich etwas sagen.“
En: "I actually wanted to tell you something."
De: Greta sah ihn an und lächelte.
En: Greta looked at him and smiled.
De: „Was denn, Hans?“
En: "What is it, Hans?"
De: Hans holte tief Luft.
En: Hans took a deep breath.
De: „Greta, ich... ich mag dich. Sehr sogar.
En: "Greta, I... I like you. A lot, actually.
De: Ich bin schon lange in dich verliebt, aber ich hatte immer Angst, es zu sagen.“
En: I've been in love with you for a long time, but I was always afraid to say it."
De: Greta sah ihn überrascht an.
En: Greta looked at him surprised.
De: Dann lächelte sie wieder.
En: Then she smiled again.
De: „Ich mag dich auch, Hans.
En: "I like you too, Hans.
De: Du bist lustig und liebenswürdig.“
En: You are funny and kind."
De: Hans fühlte sich plötzlich leicht und glücklich.
En: Hans suddenly felt light and happy.
De: „Wirklich?“, fragte er.
En: "Really?" he asked.
De: Greta nickte und nahm seine Hand.
En: Greta nodded and took his hand.
De: „Ja, wirklich.“
En: "Yes, really."
De: Und so standen sie zusammen auf dem Sonnenblumenhof, unter dem strahlenden Sommerhimmel, die Hände ineinander verschlungen, und lachten über die ganze Situation.

De: Hans war froh, dass er endlich den Mut gefunden hatte, Greta seine Liebe zu gestehen.
