Story Transcript:

He: בגלקסיה של דינוזוארים, אייפונים ואנשי עסקים שתפקדים לבד, יתכן ותמצאו את נקודת החלל האורבנית המוזרה הנקראת תל אביב. כאן, בפינה הנחמדה שאליה הגיעה יעל, קיימת אנרגיה משלה.
En: In a galaxy of dinosaurs, iPhones, and self-operating businessmen, you may find the peculiar urban space called Tel Aviv. Here, in the cozy corner that Ya'el arrived at, there is energy of its own.

He: יום שישי, צהריים, אוויר מלח, קיץ. יעל הייתה סבורה שהיא מזמינה צלחת חומוס אחת, אך איננה מצליחה לקרוא למלצר, המסדר את החומוס שהאמיך שהיא מסרה לו הקפה לעשרה אנשים.
En: Friday afternoon, the air salty, summer. Ya'el thought she was ordering one plate of hummus but fails to get the waiter's attention, who arranges the hummus the imaginary order she gave him for ten people.

He: יום מוותר מתחיל. סביבת אנשים קופצים מאושרים, חולשת יומית שפתחה בהלם עסקים. גל של צלחות חומוס מגיע. שלוש, חמש, שבע... והאחרונה בדרך. אשמה ומזועזעת, היא מרגישה כאילו כל העיניים כלואות עליה. אין מקום לברוח.
En: A resigned day begins. Happy people hopping around, the daily weakness that opened with the business hustle. A wave of hummus plates arrives. Three, five, seven... and the last one on the way. Guilt-ridden and dismayed, she feels like all eyes are fixed on her. There's no place to escape.

He: נשימה עמוקה, יעל הופכת לחללית. דרך חשובה אולי לפתור את הבעיה הייתה בנסירת חלל, אך על פי המסעדה, פשוט לתת לאחרים. היא ממיאם למסביב, "חומוס?" מציעה יעל לקבוצת האנשים הנמצאים לידה.
En: Taking a deep breath, Ya'el becomes a spacewalker. Perhaps the key to solving the problem was in sharing the space, but according to the restaurant, just giving to others. She asks around, "Hummus?" offering to the group of people next to her.

He: אחד אחרי השני, כיסאות מתרוקנים, לקוחות מתחילים להגיע לשולחן. חיוכים מפריחים בסביבה וכך מציעה יעל רענון דרך וארוחה משותפת.
En: One by one, chairs are vacated, customers start arriving at the table. Smiles blooming in the environment, Ya'el suggests a renewal through a shared meal.

He: חלף היום, אשת המעשה ממשיכה הלאה. מעכשיו והלאה, בכל אחד שיבקש ממנה חומוס במסעדה, הם יבינו את סיפורה המיוחד. הם לא יוכלו להימנע מפני שיניים מחייכות, והאדם שבדרך כלל אנונימי, ישאר בחייהם.
En: The day passes, the woman of action continues on. From now on, whenever someone asks her for hummus in a restaurant, they will understand her special story. They won't be able to resist the smiling teeth, and the usually anonymous person will stay in their lives.

He: בטוח, יעל תמשיך למהר מדי, לטעות, ללכת למקומות לא מוכרים מדי. אך מהיום ההוא היא תזכור את החיוך שמתינה לה בפינה, החיוך שנתנה לה תל אביב.
En: Surely, Ya'el will continue to rush too much, to make mistakes, to go to unfamiliar places. But from that day on, she will remember the smile that awaited her in the corner, the smile that Tel Aviv gave her.
