Story Transcript:

He: תל אביב, שעה חמישית אחר הצהריים.
En: Tel Aviv, five o'clock in the afternoon.

He: החום מעט מלחיץ, אך חנות הפלאפל של יוסי היא מקום מוכר ומנחם.
En: The heat is slightly oppressive, but Yossi's falafel shop is a familiar and comforting place.

He: אוויר המדהים של פלאפל טרי, חומוס וסלטים מכינים לך לב את הכדון.
En: The amazing aroma of fresh falafel, hummus, and salads fills your heart.

He: אברהם איש העסקים בחולצת האופיס החלקה הלבנה שלו, כבר מודע מראש מה הוא רוצה להזמין.
En: Abraham, the businessman in his crisp white office shirt, already knows what he wants to order.

He: "פלאפל סופר", אומר הוא למאפר וטוען את הגטר בדולרים.
En: "Super falafel," he tells the server and hands over the dollars.

He: לא מזמן שאברהם כמה דקות, מאחר וחרד להמשיך את יעילות היום השישי המאותגרת שלו.
En: Abraham waits for his falafel anxiously, as he is pressed for time and eager to continue his challenging Friday afternoon.

He: רחל, המאמרת המתחילה, מזמינה את האותו מנה רק שבאריזה נפה כדי שתוכל להמשיך את היום השישי שלה בחוף הים.
En: Rachel, the starting journalist, orders the same dish but only in a pita pocket so she can continue her Friday by the beach.

En: She gazes at Abraham behind her black glasses and patiently waits for her falafel.

En: The orders get mixed up, and the server brings Abraham Rachel's super spicy falafel.

En: Abraham, without realizing it's not his, thanks him and takes a bite of the creamy pita filled with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, warm spicy falafel, tahini sauce, and crispy pickles.

He: אברהם, ברגע של הפסקה היומי, מרים את הפיתה לקראת הלחיים שלו ומכניס את חלקם החזק בידו.
En: Abraham, during his daily break, lifts the pita towards his mouth and takes a strong bite.

En: The first bite starts to unleash the tiny battle within him.

He: פלאפל סופר חריף?
En: Super spicy falafel?

He: הוא חושב בתדהמה, תוך שהוא מרגיש בפניו איך הלהבה גוברת ומתפשטת.
En: he wonders in astonishment, feeling the heat intensify and spread.

He: תמר, שיושבת בשולחן מול אברהם, נגבה שתייה מרה שתהה עם חברה ושמה לב שאברהם האיש הבקיא, מעכשיו משתנה לצבע של דג קרפ.
En: Tamar, sitting at the table opposite Abraham, finishes her bitter drink with her friend and notices that the knowledgeable man has suddenly turned as red as a carp.

He: היא לא יכולה לנצל ותכתיב פה נמלט ממנה.
En: She cannot help but notice and chuckles to herself.

He: בסופו של דבר, הוא מנסה להשלים את החרדה ומציא כפל מים בעטוף.
En: In the end, he tries to calm his anxiety and finds solace in doubling his water intake.

He: "אני מניח שאתה נתקל בפלאפל שלי", רחל מבוכה מתקרבת, משיגה לה את אריזת פלאפל היא עדיין חמה את אברהם בשלום.
En: "I suppose you stumbled upon my falafel," Rachel approaches embarrassingly, handing over her still warm falafel package to Abraham.

En: He, now improving from the heat, looks at them and manages to mask his fear.

He: "האמת?
En: "Really?"

En: In Tel Aviv, on a busy Friday evening of eggplant, Abraham learned that even a mistake can turn into a small adventure.

He: או לפחות, לסיפור שבו יהיה פלאפל טעים לספר בשבת עם החברים.
En: Or at least a story to tell over delicious falafel with friends on Saturday.
