It: Marco era uno straniero appena arrivato in città e volevano dargli il benvenuto con una tipica cena italiana.
En: Marco was a foreigner who had just arrived in the city and they wanted to welcome him with a typical Italian dinner.

En: Giovanni, an expert in making spaghettii, thought it would be fun to show Marco how to eat spaghetti without using a fork or spoon.

It: Sofia, incuriosita dall'idea, si unì subito al piano.
En: Sofia, intrigued by the idea, immediately joined the plan.

En: The dinner was set up in the garden of Giovanni's house.

En: Tables and chairs were arranged cosily, and a huge tray of steaming spaghetti sat in the center.

En: There was also a large water vaporizer next to the table.

En: "Marco, do you think you can eat spaghetti without a fork and spoon?"

It: chiese Giovanni, con un sorriso compiaciuto.
En: Giovanni asked, with a pleased smile.

En: Marco looked at the two friends confused and replied: "I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but I'm willing to try!"

En: Enthusiastically, Giovanni and Sofia took their plates of spaghetti and sat down in front of Marco.

En: Without hesitation, Giovanni grabbed a piece of spaghetti with both hands and popped it into his mouth.

It: Poi si ributtò indietro sulla sedia, ridendo a crepapelle.
En: Then he threw himself back in his chair, laughing out loud.

En: Sofia, in turn, took a piece of spaghetti and put it entirely in his mouth, simulating a drowning fish.

It: Anche lei scoppiò a ridere.
En: She burst out laughing too.

It: Inizialmente incerto su come affrontare la situazione, Marco decise di seguirli.
En: Initially unsure how to deal with the situation, Marco decided to follow them.

En: He took a piece of spaghetti and held it between his lips, trying to use it like a straw to suck up the pieces of pasta.

En: But his attempt turned into a fountain of gravy that landed on his face and the table.

It: Giovanni e Sofia ridevano sempre più forte.
En: Giovanni and Sofia laughed louder and louder.

En: They didn't care about the mess they were creating, they just wanted to show Marco how strange and fun it was to eat spaghetti without using cutlery.

En: The sun was setting and the water vapor next to the table had turned into a light rain.

En: But the trilogy continued to be absorbed in their comedy of absurdity, unaware of the world around them.

En: The garden turned into a mess of spaghetti and sauce, with Marco, Giovanni and Sofia laughing uncontrollably.

En: It had become impossible to distinguish the sound of their peals of laughter from the sound of the falling rain.

En: Finally, exhausted and full of spaghetti, the three friends looked at each other and realized how much mess they had made.

En: The table was covered in red stains and the garden looked like a set for a food war.

It: Ma non potevano essere più felici.
En: But they couldn't be happier.

En: After calming down, Marco exclaimed, "This was the funniest and weirdest dinner I've ever had!

It: Grazie ragazzi per avermi coinvolto in questa folle avventura."
En: Thanks guys for involving me in this crazy adventure."

En: Giovanni and Sofia smiled and hugged each other, happy to have made Marco feel the warmth of Italian hospitality in such a unique way.

En: No matter how strange or messy they were, they had created a memory that would last forever.

En: As the sky darkened and the light rain continued to fall, the three friends stood up, ready to clean up the mess they had made.

En: But this time, they did it together, laughing and joking like three children disguised as adults.

En: And so, between laughter and soaps, the evening ended in the best possible way.

En: Giovanni, Sofia and Marco had shared a special dinner, a culinary experience that would strengthen their bond of friendship.

En: Yet, the most important thing was that they allowed Marco to really feel the welcome and warmth of his new country, right through an audience of messy spaghetti.
