    Story Transcript:

Hu: Kampó: A nap végére mindenki kicsit vidámabb volt, miután a baráti társaság hölgytagjai tört angol nyelven vicceket meséltek az egyik kávézóban, amikor András felállt, hogy meséljen nekik egy viccet.
En: Kampó: By the end of the day, everyone was a little more cheerful after the female members of the group of friends were telling jokes in broken English in one of the cafes, when András got up to tell them a joke.

En: András and his friends were in a Hungarian cafe, and everyone was trying to entertain the others.

Hu: Béla aztán felállt, hogy mondjon valami vicceset, ami azonban ennél sokkal inkább kínosan kínosabb lett.
En: Béla then stood up to say something funny, which, however, became much more awkward than that.

En: Zsófia tried to save the situation with a funny story, but the boy's friends just laughed at her, repeatedly emphasizing that the stories must be in broken English.

En: András tried not to be restless and in the end increased the mood with his story.

Hu: Mindenki szórakozott, és kicsit lazábbnak érezték magukat.
En: Everyone had fun and felt a little more relaxed.

En: After a while, however, everyone got tired, so they decided to go home.

En: After the company left, András stayed in the cafe for a while.

En: He thought a little sadly that he couldn't be as funny as the ladies.

En: But in the end, he decided that he shouldn't give up and would keep trying.

Hu: Amikor hazament, a szíve könnyebb volt, és reménykedett benne, hogy a következő alkalommal ő lesz a legviccesebb a baráti társaságban.
En: When he went home, his heart was lighter and he hoped that next time he would be the funniest in the group of friends.

Hu: Gábor és Éva értetlenül néznek rá, hiszen egy gulyát nehéz elképzelni vegán verzióban.
En: Gábor and Éva look at it in bewilderment, since it is difficult to imagine a goulash in a vegan version.

En: Zsófia explains that her goulash is a wonderful blend of the tastiest vegetables she could find, and she uses a little beans to give it a thicker texture.

En: He also chose the spices very wisely to make it taste like a meat goulash.

En: Gábor and Éva were not convinced, but agreed to try the vegan goulash.

En: As soon as they bit into it, they realized that Zsófia was right: it was the best goulash they had ever eaten.

En: It tasted like there was meat in it, but the vegetables were also very tasty.

En: So Zsófia won the title of best goulash, and Gábor and Éva decided to learn how to make vegan goulash.

Hu: Így aztán együtt megtanulták a receptet, és mostantól vegán gulyás a ház specialitása.
En: So they learned the recipe together, and from now on vegan goulash is the specialty of the house.

    Hu: A vége.
    En: The end.

En: Eszter and Gergő visited Budapest during the day, but they should have left for home.

Hu: Ahogy elindultak, Gergő felajánlotta, hogy útba ejtik a várost.
En: As they set off, Gergő offered to show them around the city.

En: Eszter insisted that they get home directly by the fastest route, but Gergő was stubborn.

Hu: „Menjünk be a belvárosba, látni fogsz valami igazán megkapó dolgot,” kantorogta Gergő, miközben kihúzta a térképet a zsebéből.
En: "Let's go downtown, you'll see something really impressive," Gergő hummed as he pulled the map out of his pocket.

En: Eszter argued grumpily, but did not dare to contradict.

En: As they moved towards the city center, Eszter noticed that Gergő was becoming more and more uncertain about the direction.

Hu: „Talán meg kellene kérdezni valakit, hol vagyunk,” ajánlotta Eszter, de Gergő nemet mondott.
En: "Maybe we should ask someone where we are," suggested Eszter, but Gergő said no.

Hu: „Nincs szükségem útbaigazításra, csak kövesd a térképet,” mondta Gergő eltökélten.
En: "I don't need directions, just follow the map," said Gergő determinedly.

Hu: Az idő múlásával a város egyre furcsább és ismeretlenebb dolgokat mutatott nekik.
En: As time passed, the city showed them more and more strange and unfamiliar things.

Hu: Eszter zavarodott volt és ideges.
En: Eszter was confused and nervous.

En: "Gergő, I don't think we are where we should be," Eszter said.

Hu: Gergő ment tovább, még akkor is, amikor Eszter kétségbeesett.
En: Gergő continued, even when Eszter despaired.

Hu: Végül, kimerítő menetelés után elérték a kívánt célt.
En: Finally, after an exhausting march, they reached their desired destination.

En: However, Eszter highlighted that they would have done better if they had followed their original plan.

Hu: „Nem kellett volna feladnunk a térképről való függőséget!
En: "We shouldn't have given up dependence on the map!"

    Hu: ” dörmögte világosan.
    En: he roared clearly.

En: Gergő remained silent, knowing that Eszter was right.

En: He realized that the most important thing was getting home, not participating in adventures.

En: Ádám went to the Danube bank to eat a good Hungarian meal.

Hu: Azonban az egyik étteremben, amit kiválasztott, nehezen tudta kimondani az étel nevét.
En: However, in one of the restaurants he chose, he had trouble pronouncing the name of the dish.

En: After a long struggle, he realized that he had been pronouncing it wrong all his life.

Hu: Az étterem terasza csodálatos kilátással rendelkezett a Duna-part irányába.
En: The terrace of the restaurant had a wonderful view in the direction of the Danube bank.

En: Adam tried to time his meal so that he could see the blue sky slowly turn to purple and then red at the bottom of the sky at sunset.

Hu: Végül sikerült kiválasztania az ételt, amit megrendelt.
En: He finally managed to select the food he ordered.

En: When Ádám tried to say the name of the dish, the waiter couldn't decide what he wanted.

En: Adam was very confused because he couldn't pronounce the name of the dish and the waiter kept misunderstanding his instructions.

En: The food finally arrived and Adam was surprised to find that he had never tasted it before.

Hu: Az első falatok azonnal visszarepítették gyerekkorába, amikor a nagymamája készítette először neki ezt az ételt.
En: The first bites immediately transported him back to his childhood, when his grandmother first prepared this dish for him.

En: While enjoying the flavors, Adam tried to say the name of the food again, now to himself.

En: Knowing his vast vocabulary, he wondered why he named his food after a word that was difficult to pronounce.

    Hu: Végül döntött.
    En: He finally decided.

En: Because the important thing is not how you pronounce it, but that you can eat something good and delicious.

Hu: És hogy jobban ízlik, mint valaha.
En: And that it tastes better than ever.
