Happy Satiated Saturday!
Right before I sat down to write and record this week's episode, I ate some of my homemade donuts. You can find the recipe on my website here. I love these! I have such wonderful memories around donut eating.
Nourishing my body with these got me reflecting on how Food Is Love.
In this week’s episode, I share some of my food is love memories and how we can embrace the emotional satiation and grounding we naturally receive from food.
You can also read the transcript to this week’s episode here.
Creating amazing memories with food can occur at any moment. You can cultivate beautiful eating experiences just with yourself so that no matter the reason you're eating it is done from a deep place of knowing you deserve that love.

Happy Satiated Saturday!
Today I would like to tell you a story of what cultivating a trusting relationship with food can look and feel like.
At a time when I desired to have a more relaxed relationship with food, I experimented for a year in what I called my year of "What if?" What if I ate this? What would happen?
In this week’s episode, hear my adventures of eating whatever I wanted and what happened.
You can also read the transcript to this week’s episode here.
Remember, no matter how your body shifts and changes, no food and no body shape is right or wrong or good or bad. You will always be deserving to be met, seen, heard, acknowledged, and respected.

Happy Satiated Saturday!
How many food rules guide your food choices?
Eat this, don't eat that. This is "good" or "bad." I "should" eat this.
I have stopped reading the newsletters even the health professionals I follow are putting out there because honestly, I'm bored. We're receiving the same message again and again even from health professionals striving to stray away from diet culture still put out rules around what to eat or not to eat.
I'm tired of hearing messages that everything you eat, every way you move, every way you nourish yourself is either right or wrong.
In this week’s episode, I dive into research on what affects our body image and how we can start to cultivate a different kind of relationship with our food and body that feels more accepting and embracing of being alive in the body you’re in.
You can also read the transcript to this week’s episode here.
The work needed to be done to shape different dialogues and different relationships with our food and body can begin with us. When we heal our connection with food and body, we become a role model for what that can look and feel like to others.

Happy Satiated Saturday!
I remember when I was a teenager both loving and hating going to the mall. I loved hanging out with my friends or family. Trying on clothes was often a disappointing experience.
Loud music, horrible lighting, warped mirrors, individual's knocking on the changing room asking if you're alright. It can all feel incredibly overwhelming including the potential loud harsh internal voice that might arise around your unique body shape.
Over the years, I have explored within myself and with my clients cultivating a very different relationship with clothes where clothes get to be used as a tool to support you in feeling the way you want to feel in your unique body.
In this week’s episode, I offer some steps you can take to enter into a brand new relationship with your clothes that can support you in embracing and accepting you exactly the way you are.
You can also read the transcript to this week’s episode here.
If you experiment with this new relationship with clothing, absolutely let me know how it goes! You can email me at [email protected] anytime.

Happy Satiated Saturday!
So let’s say you go on a diet. It promises to provide you everything you have been wanting. Let's say you get exactly what you were looking for from that way of eating. Then what?
Diets and cleanses often are not effective to continue to do long term. Going on a diet is like a rom-com movie where the couple finally gets together in the end but we don't see what happens next.
Dieters are then sent into an abyss of, "what now?"
In this week’s episode, I explore three steps you can start to take to ease yourself out of dieting and into body trust.
You can also read the transcript to this week’s episode here.
If you feel like you have been on and off diets forever, you're not alone. There is a very different way to be in relationship with your food and body and I'm here for you every step of the way on that new adventure. Happy Satiated Saturday!
The safer you feel the more you can heal. Have you experienced this? You feel like you’re eating and moving in your body in optimal ways and yet your symptoms are still hanging around.
I have been exploring what facilitates healing in the body a lot lately.
What I have seen with my clients and in my own experience is that anything that activates our fight or flight response, increases our stress, and makes us feel unsafe can slow down or halt our healing entirely.
In this week’s episode, I offer some tools to guide your body back into feeling safe so that you can more easily assess what foods and movement resonate with your unique system.
You can also read the transcript to this week’s episode here.
Are there foods you have discovered support you in feeling safe in the moment and long term as well? If you're not sure what these foods might be for you I'm here for you on this discovery journey! Respond to this email anytime with any questions.

Happy Satiated Saturday!
Isn't it absurd the amount of different kinds of diets that exist now?
A lot of these have so much buzz around them that following them becomes a part of someone's identity. To eat something off of the "prescribed meal plan" can cause so much anxiety for some that it brings up questions around who they are as a person.
This episode was sparked by a reflection of a lot of media coverage on a specific celebrity’s weight loss. Ultimately, anyone’s weight change, celebrity or not, is none of our business. We need to take back our power as a culture. The less we focus on someone’s appearance the more we will be shaping our world that this is no longer an important concern to obsess about and focus on.
In this episode, I explore what I have discovered is a sustainable way to approach our food and body that honors your unique system. You can also read the transcript to this week’s episode here.
You get to create your own unique dietary guidelines that satiates you and only you. As you cultivate more trust within your body that it will tell you what it needs and when you will find a way of eating that feels sustainable where you will never feel like you have to rely on a diet ever again.

Happy Satiated Saturday!
Whenever I would go through stressful times in my teens and early '20s, my favorite time to binge on food was in the evenings.
I have found over the years that I'm not alone in that experience. Nighttime for many can be the one time in the day where there is finally time to focus on self.
There is no work to do, nowhere to go, just you, your thoughts, and emotions.
This week’s episode, I dive into new habits you can begin to explore to shift nighttime overeating. You can also read the transcript to this week’s episode here.
Be gentle with yourself in this process. Food came in at a time in your life when you potentially needed it.
You can invite so much compassion into your body that you have done the best you could to show up for you with the awareness you have had at any moment.
