Have you ever paused to listen to the wisdom of your body? If not, you should because it’s sending you messages constantly.
I have to confess, I haven’t always been attuned to the wisdom of my body and I had to learn the hard way. I was stressed and I knew it, but I didn’t know how to back out of all my commitments, but my body did. It shut down and I ended up in the hospital, not once, but twice.
That’s why I’m sharing today’s episode…so you can begin to listen to your body or deepen your existing relationship with it.
If you think this is woo-woo, stay with me because this is science-backed. Neurologists and therapists are also chiming in with research on the wisdom of our bodies.
It's a different way of thinking about self-care and healing. It’s also a dialect we often overlook until we pay the price emotionally, physically, or both.
What you’ll learn today:
- My personal story of not listening to my body, the price I paid, and what I changed in my life.
- Why you should listen to the wisdom of your body.
- Who is Martha Beck? And why she created “The Body Compass.”
- How yoga was the gateway for me to get in touch with my body and how research shows it can help with regulating the nervous system and developing more self-awareness.
- My introduction to somatic-based therapies and how they helped me fully recover from my freaky illness, regulate my nervous system, and heal my past trauma.
- How I decided to become a somatic healer.
So pop in those earbuds and get comfortable, so you can learn how the body's wisdom can become your guide toward a more balanced, healthy, and happy life from the inside out! You deserve this!
And take a listen to the added exercises so you can get more in touch with your body's wisdom too!

Laurie
