  • What I Learned in My Year Without Alcohol

    In this episode, Erin celebrates 365 days alcohol-free by reflecting on her experience and everything she learned. When we hear about someone being sober we assume they must have had a really tumultuous relationship with alcohol. In this conversation, Erin dispels the belief that you have to be at rock bottom to let go of alcohol and that sobriety is only for people who are addicted.

    Unlike many individuals who are sober, Erin doesn’t relate to being an alcoholic or even having a bad relationship with alcohol. It doesn’t feel like a daily battle to stay sober. What started out as a plan to do ‘dry January’ to give her system a break and to reduce anxiety led her to ask, “Is alcohol really moving me closer or further from the person I want to become?”. Every time the answer was clear.

    Grab your coffee, tea or glass of wine (zero judgment here!) and join Erin as she shares ;

    • Why “Dry January” turned into a year of no alcohol
    • The incredible shifts she noticed along the way
    • Her recommendations for anyone thinking of reducing alcohol

    • “I got sober because I wanted a better life. I stayed sober because I got one.” - unknown

    • 5 Tips for Navigating Holiday Overwhelm & Anxiety

      It’s the most wonderful time of the year....or at least it can be!

      I don’t know about you but I actually find the holidays to be a big mixing pot of emotions - stress, excitement, overwhelm, magic, financial pressure, beauty, anxiety - it all rises to the surface at this time of year giving us an incredible opportunity to see areas in our life where there is still space to grow, heal and feel a little bit deeper.

      I recorded this episode specifically for YOU if you are ;

      • Feeling a stressed, overwhelmed or spread thin right now
      • Noticing you’re a bit stuck, unmotivated or uninspired
      • Not showing up moment to moment in the way that you want to (i.e. snapping at the kids, feeling anxious or moving at a million miles per hour)
      • Craving specific strategies to help you connect back to your best self
      • Needing a BFF to remind you just how INCREDIBLE you are!

      • I got cozy in my favourite sweatsuit, made my daily Turmeric latte and shared 5 tools and mindset shifts that I’m leaning into DAILY to allow me to show up from a space of LOVE, GRATITUDE & CALM.

        I ask you some BIG questions to help you show up as your best self no matter where you are at right now.

        We can’t always control what is happening around us but we can control how we show up for it.

        Grab a coffee or pour yourself a glass of vino, grab your journal and come hang out with me as we wrap up another incredible year together and head into the new year.

        Xo Erin

        THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS;

        Can I tell you about my newest obsession today. You know I’m usually ALLLL about the salty chips for a little late night snack BUT I have to tell you, this new company I’ve found just might be switching me over to have more of a sweet tooth. Yep. That’s right.

        They are called Healthy Hippo! They are basically your childhood candy – but better! Their vegan gummies are low sugar, balanced in fibre, and sweetened with monk fruit for that cleaner, softer sweetness, no aftertaste whatsoever. Not to mention – they are the only Canadian company using Monk Fruit in their candy right now! All the nostalgia from your childhood candy indulgences – but with all the better-for-you flair you want today. I’m telling you they are delicious, kid-friendly and are going to be your next candy obsession.

        The best part? Healthy Hippo is giving all our listeners 15% off using the code RAWBEAUTY so you can try out some of these healthy sweet treats yourself. You can visit www.healthyhippo.ca and use the code RAWBEAUTY for 15% off. The sour hippo gummies are a personal fav. You can thank me later! xo

      • Taking One Step At A Time with Karen Danudjaja

        How do you take a moment for yourself?

        We are busy, overwhelmed, and overburdened with so much to do.

        And while it’s easy to reach for another cup of coffee... ☕

        ...today we are sharing alternatives that are ethically sourced and organically formulated with options to support anyone, no matter where they may be on their wellness journey.

        It all started when Karen Danudjaja spent most of her time in real estate meetings at local cafes drinking the same cup of coffee. She wanted something different: both caffeinated and decaf alternatives that were simple to use and simple to understand.

        As she explored her own digestive boundaries and sensitivIty to caffeine, she gathered inspiration from proven ingredients and products with labels you can read, and benefits you believe in.

        Karen is now the founder of Blume, which provides versatile blends that make wellness accessible at home and at your favorite cafe.

        In today’s episode of Raw Beauty Talks, you’ll hear:

        💕 Making a major life pivot from real estate to entrepreneur (and what that really looked like for her!)

        💕 Why she doesn’t believe you can waste your time (!!!)

        💕 How to navigate failures (without stressing about them).

        💕 How she moves out of fear-based cyclical thinking (and you can, too!)

        💕 3 wellness tools she’d take to a deserted island

      • Change Your Breath, Change Your Life with Ava Johanna

        While searching for healing and working to shift pain into purpose—that’s when she found her mission…

        ...and it’s going global! 🌎

        Ava Johanna survived homelessness at 16 and spent her early 20’s managing uncomfortable emotions by erasing night after night with alcohol. She knows the weight our histories can hold...and how it can be lifted through our breath.

        “The very first night someone came to teach breathwork...and from that point forward, I was absolutely hooked!”

        Ava is the founder of an international breathwork and meditation school called The Academy of Breath, and has worked with top brands in the wellness space like Alo Yoga, Mindbodygreen, and Yoga Journal.

        Her mission is simple: to make the power of breathwork and meditation accessible to everyone by highlighting the neuroscience behind it!

        Ava is breathing life into the world and teaching you how to harness its power.

        Things got real personal for this one! We’re talking:

        💕 The history she overcame (and how!)

        💕 Breathwork tools and strategies

        💕 Intuition or logic (which one should you listen to?)

        💕 ONE breathwork practice that anyone can use (starting today!)

        💕 And...My very first experience with breathwork (and a BIG decision it’s helping me explore!)

        If you know me, you know that meditation is a key pillar of my wellness routine in addition to movement and more recently breathwork, which is why I was so excited when my friend T introduced me to Open this past summer. Open offers meditation, breathwork and movement like yoga and pilates to help support you in reaching a whole new level of mind-body wellness. You can access classes live or pre-recorded right from your device in whatever space feels most comfortable for you.

        Exercises are anywhere from 5 minutes to 45-minutes and are paired with the sounds of award-winning musicians which just takes everything to the next level.

        All the teachers ooze this supportive, nurturing and transcendent vibe. I swear I finish Manoj’s meditations and feel like a whole new person. The sound of his voice and his guiding words seem to sweep away fear and overthinking so that I can tap into a softer way of being. Ally is this force with the incredible capacity to hold space for you just as you are while also calling you forward into your greatest strength.

        All the teachers are great. The platform is brilliant. These are the tools I talk about on the podcast and social day-in and day out and Open has kindly offered to give each of you 30-days of access for free when you use the CODE RBT. 30 days. TOTALLY FREE. Open up your phone right now and visit www.open-together.com/RBT to sign up! Join Open with 30 days free using my code
