Since 2009, IFD has filmed and published over 700 video stories that have accrued over 35+ million views on its YouTube Channel.

The I'm From Driftwood Podcast brings its queer storytelling to a new medium. Each episode will feature the audio clips from stories from the I’m From Driftwood archive, and the stories and subject matter will be discussed by the two podcast hosts. Topics discussed will range from bi-inclusion, childhood crushes, and gender identity, to love, race, and drag culture. As an Integrative Health Practitioner I have come to realize that we simply haven't been taught how to optimize our health, and that the average person has habits that are negatively impacting their health, due to this lack of knowledge, through no fault of their own.  Public health and our school system simply don't teach us enough about nutrition, sleep, stress, gut health or how interconnected our bodies are!  Modern life has us more sleep deprived, stressed out and the sickest ever, and I believe it is time to bring this education to you, so that you CAN be empowered in your health and you can then make the right choices for you and your family.  The choices you make today impact your future 1 year, 5 years, 10 years + from now.  It is never too early to start looking after your health, as Health is your TRUE wealth....without it what do you have?

I use this podcast to support my passion project  -  non-profit, Girls Matter (www.girlsmatter.ca), breaking the poverty cycle 1 girl, 1 family, 1 village at a time.   The mission is to keep girls in school and stop teenage marriages, because school isn’t free in over 50 countries around the world and when parents have to make the difficult choices of feeding their kids or paying for school, food wins. And when the girls hit their teen years, they will often be married off so that someone else becomes responsible to feed them. Keeping girls in school instead creates a generational ripple effect, because an educated girl is more than twice as likely to ensure her own children are educated. Educating girls also grows the GDP of countries, when they get into the workforce.  This is how together, we can change the world.
