Ca: Barcelona brillava amb llums de Nadal aquella nit d'hivern.

Ca: Al Barri Gòtic, les llambordes reflectien petits punts lluminosos que ballaven al ritme de la música dels carrers.

Ca: Barcelona estava plena de núvols foscos i un vent fred recorria els carrers.
En: Barcelona was filled with dark clouds, and a cold wind swept through the streets.

Ca: L'orfenat estava al vell mig de la ciutat, una antiga edificació de pedra amb passadissos il·luminats tènue i un saló acollidor on les parelles venien amb l'esperança de trobar un fill.
En: The orphanage was in the very heart of the city, an old stone building with dimly lit hallways and a cozy living room where couples came with the hope of finding a child.
