Ca: Oriol, amb la seva optimista confiança, va decidir seguir el seu instint. "Confieu en mi, el meu sentit de l'orientació és infal·lible!", va dir, tot convençut.
En: Oriol, with his optimistic confidence, decided to follow his instinct. "Trust me, my sense of direction is infallible!" he said, fully convinced.

Ca: I així, van caminar endavant, girant a l'esquerra, després a la dreta, baixant unes escales i pujant-ne d'altres.
En: And so, they walked on, turning left, then right, down some stairs and up others.

Ca: Però després de quasi una hora caminant, superstosos i una mica suats, van donar voltes al mateix lloc.

Ca: El sol de l'estiu escalfava les pedres antigues del Monestir de Montserrat.

Ca: El vent suau portava l'aroma de les espelmes i el murmuri de les pregàries.
En: The gentle wind carried the aroma of candles and the murmur of prayers.

Ca: Adrià observava la muntanya des de l'interior del monestir, amb la mandra de l'ombra fresca fent-li companyia.
En: Adrià watched the mountain from inside the monastery, with the laziness of the cool shade keeping him company.
